Parrot TWB LED range screen dims while watching, working or interacting.

1 min read

All of the Led’s have a built in eco function as well as a built-in eye protection sensor.  If these are active at any stage the LED will intelligently dim your screen to protect your eyes from too much brightness.  Should you choose not to have these functions enabled you can disable these functions by following the steps below:

On your remote control that you received with your LED there should be a “Eco” button.
Press this button until you have the desired setting.  If you do not want any setting, please ensure that the setting is off.

If the “Eco” setting is off, we have to switch the eye protection setting off.  This can be done by:

  • Go to the android os by pressing the home button on your remote or on the LED itself represented by a button with a “house” icon on it.
  • This will take you to the base Android and options.
    • On the older TWB range select the Gear Icon located at the bottom of the screen.\
    • On the newer A series LED’s select the “Settings” Tab
  • Once the “Options” page is shown on the screen scroll down to the “Smart Eye Protection” (Or something similar depending on your LED model) on the left-hand side
  • Ensure that the slider / button located on the right is set to the off position.

This should take immediate effect.  If your screen is still dim, switch off the LED and wait 5 seconds and then switch it on again.

Your LED will now respond accordingly and not dim anymore while interacting with the screen.

Should you still experience any issues, please do not hesitate to log a ticket at pi.support@parrot.co.za.

Thank you.
