The C4 controller can be managed via multiple connectivity methods and platforms. It allows for network connectivity via LAN connection, Wi-Fi connection and 3g sim card connections. It can also be programmed / managed via PC application, Cloud storage and network connection. The later allows you to connect to the device in a web browser format where you enter the IP address of the C4 device (Has to be on the same network infrastructure), but unfortunately by default you can log into this page without any security or login access. This allows anyone who knows how to access the device to modify some settings on the C4 device.
Below are the steps required to activate the login credentials and secure the login to the device via web browser.
Step 1:
Open your web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Opera etc.) and enter the IP address of your C4 device in the address bar at the top. The first time you do this you will go directly to a screen similar to the one below.

Step 2:
Select the Advanced option on the left:

Step 3:
Go to the Settings tab at the top:

Step 4:
Slide the LAN Authentication slider on

Step 5:
Now Choose to “Change Password”, the old / defualt password is console (All lower case) and enter the new password of choice. Do not lose this password as you would need to reset the C4 Device to factory default should you forget your password.

Step 6:
After changing the password, the web page will refresh and take you back to a login screen. Here you can now type in your newly allocated password:

After completion of the above steps your device is now password protected.
