2 min read

Whilst working or presenting you might come across your projector not doing what it is supposed to or simply does not work. Below are some of the most common problems and some steps that you can check before contact our support teams:

No image appears on screen:

  • Ensure that all the cable connections are secure and properly connected to both projector and pc / laptop
  • Ensure the visual cables (HDMI or VGA) connections are not damaged or bent as this may result in a faulty connection
  • Ensure that if your model supports “AV Mute” that it is not on

Image is out of focus, too small or too large:

  • Adjust the focus on you projector
  • Ensure that the projector is at the correct projection distance for your surface
  • Adjust the Zoom level of your projector (If model supports zoom)
  • Move the projector closer or further if it does not support Zoom ring
  • Change the aspect ratio of the projection

Your image is slanted on the sides:

  • Ensure that the projector lamp is centered on the surface you are projecting to
  • Use the keystone buttons on the project / remote or go to the menu and select keystones and adjust as necessary.

Projector does not respond:

  • Turn off the projector, then unplug the power cord and wait at least 20 seconds before plugging in the power again.
  • If the above does not work, contact Parrot Products for support

Lamp burns out or makes popping sounds:

  • If the lamp reaches end of life it will burn out and make a loud popping sound. If this happens the lamp needs to be replaced.
  • To achieve the above please contact Parrot Products or bring the projector into your closest branch for repairs

Remote Control does not function:

  • Check the operation angle that it is within +_ 15 degrees of the IR receiver
  • Make sure there are no obstructions
  • Ensure that you are not further than 6m from the projector
  • Check batteries if necessary

Warning signs – Projector needs to be inspected by a Parrot technician:
