When a PC switches off or goes into sleep mode it means that there has been no activity on the pc for a specified time. The pc will then go into sleep to reserve battery if it is a laptop or to conserve power if it is a pc. Below are steps to check your timers and disable them if needed:
- Click on the start button (Windows 10 or 11)
- Start typing “power” and look for either of the below:
- By selecting “Power & Sleep” the next screen will pop up.
- Next up change the Screen and Battery times to “Never”. This will then keep the pc awake for as long as you want or until you shut it down.
The above will keep the PC from shutting down automatically
