The MTC allows for wireless casting in two different ways. It uses either your network / WIFI and an application installed on the device of the participants. The other way is via the dongle that can either be purchased separately or part of your bundle with the device.
The dongle is a very effective and time saving method as you only need to connect the USB and HDMI into the desired laptop, wait for a couple of seconds while the device sets up automatically without installing any applications. The indicator light will become a solid green and you are set up to go.
Should you have purchased a new dongle or for any reason your dongle does not pair with your base device, you can follow the easy instruction below to pair / re-pair the dongle:
- Switch on your screen and device to the correct source. You will see the MTC home page on screen.
- Connect the dongles USB cable into the front port of the MTC base unit
- In a few seconds you will see on screen that the dongle is pairing with a progress bar.
- Upon completion you will get a notification onscreen that the process is complete.
You may now disconnect the USB cable and connect it to your device for easy screen casting to the MTC base unit. You can pair up to 4 dongles to one MTC base unit.
